Manages and develops a service conscious function, to operate effective control systems and to ensure the accurate accounting of all operations. Ensures the function is managed to agreed service standards, development objectives and financial parameters, and comprises quality staff who are managed through clear role definition, objective setting and appraisal. Ensures the Business Management System contains clear, detailed and up to date procedures which promote good internal control and efficiency of process, and to ensure compliance with these procedures. Supervises the accurate and timely processing of the function's workload. Supervises/prepares reports to agreed formats and quality standards. Responsible for applying company policy and accounting principles to financial transactions. Ensures internal and external reporting deadlines are met. Manages staff development and training.
