1. Basic Function and Scope: Performs various environmental monitoring, support, surveillance and testing activities at all C.arkprAvt , facilities in support of --0,34,,A , Ras Laffan City and Ministry of Environment environmental monitoring and reporting requirements. Also conducts basic audits of waste management and other facilities and uses and maintains various environmental monitoring equipment as instructed. 2. Tasks and Duties: a. Conducts environmental monitoring checks, tests, maintains and conducts basic functional calibrations of various fixed and portable environmental at Compan . Records and logs results of monitoring or sampling and reports to Environmental Engineer. b. Identifies maintenance requirement and maintains maintenance and calibration logs fro all equipment in use. Carries out minor repair of environmental equipment at the request of Environmental Engineer. c. On request of the Environmental Engineer undertakes inspections, surveys and audits and produces accurate reports on environmental matters. e. Liaises with other section's personnel to improve relationships, respect and the need for environmental/safety awareness in all activities. Liaises with Control Room and other sections in the operation of permits to work as required. 9. at times as requested works closely with Maintenance Support Services in sand Environmental Engineer in support of waste management, particularly at Shutdowns. Assists the Environmental Engineer in Tool Box talks and onsite training and environmental awareness activities. h. Participates in spill response and clean-ups as requested in conjunction with Safety Section/Fire team and is prepared to support if required on instructed to do so. i. Performs other similar or related duties such as attending refresher environmental courses and ensuring the maintenance of files andE records, etc. Responsible for the support of Company Safety; Environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management system documentation, policies, procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents. 3. Work Contacts: Frequent contacts with production, maintenance, construction, contractors, maintenance sand supports services personnel at own level for exchange of information and within the at Environmental Affairs Section. 4. Independence of Operation: Works according to established procedures and specialised technical standards. Completed work is spot check and overall performance is reviewed by Environmental Engineer. 5. Supervisory Responsibility: None. 6. Physical Effort: 7. Work Environment: Exposed to dirt, heat, grease, fumes, noise and other plant conditions for 50% of work time. 8. Minimum Requirements: a. Completion of secondary education (12 years) plus 2 years' environmental monitoring experience or equivalent. b. 5 years' experience in environmental operations in oil and gas industry or similar. c. Good knowledge of written and spoken English is a must. 9. Operating Environment: This is one of the key areas in the organisation, charged with responsibility for implementing the framework for protecting offshore Company personnel, assets and the environment in the most cost effective manner. Activities are carried out within a well structured environment, with a clear reporting framework. 10. Problem Solving & Job Complexity: Works on standard routine tasks. Solves task specific problems through the application of precedent. Undertakes subordinate advisory roll and assists supervisor and others as appropriate. Refers problems of a more complex or less familiar nature to immediate supervisor.
