Job Purpose:
Provide Loss Prevention Engineering input and support for the operation of the Ras Laffan LNG Project and associated onshore and offshore facilities, including developmental support for the expansion projects.

3 Key Result Areas:
• Provides safety and loss prevention information and support, including interpretations of codes, standards and practices, to Operations and Technical Group departments on existing plant and non-plant facilities, facility modifications and new projects.
• Participates and regularly leads a multi-disciplinary team in safety reviews e.g. Hazop study, What-If analysis, Cause and Effects reviews, etc to help resolve day-to-day operations related safety issues and helps determine safety and feasibility of minor facility modifications.
• Participates or leads a multi-disciplinary team in routine and special risk assessment on the entire span of CoN4A0perations.
• Demonstrates a good understanding of factors influencing the choice of risk assessment techniques and advice client departments (Operations and Technical Departments) on the most appropriate assessment methodologies.
• Prepares safety review/risk assessment reports and provide follow-up tracking advice to client departments.
• Participates in expansion project - design reviews, proposed facility modifications (MOC' s), safety reviews and risk assessment workshops.
• Oversee contractors who facilitate risk assessment and hazard identification for the company.
• Possesses an understanding of how various loss prevention systems fit together and be able to assist and/or write the loss prevention philosophy for projects.
• Participates and occasionally leads Safety Audits dealing with company facilities,
activities, procedures and Management Systems to ensure compliance and
encourage continuous improvement in company's business processes.
• Participates in and provides specialist Loss Prevention input during Incident
investigations. Assist in analysis of investigation reports to identify systemic failure and provide engineering and procedural enhancements to prevent recurrence.
• Develops safety and loss prevention procedures in conjunction with producing and process facility management.
• Develops and conducts specialist training courses such as Hazops participation and incident investigation.
• Assists in the implementation ofami)4mManagement System and procedures, which provide line managers with comprehensive guidance on the identification, and mitigation of workplace hazards.
• Assists in the development and update of Emergency Management Systems.
• Assists with industrial hygiene surveys to identify and quantify potential occupational workplace issues.
4 Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries:
• External EHS authority laws and regulations continue to be developed. Internal EHS
procedures require maintenance and updates as part of the EHS management system
• Promotes awareness and support for the execution of EHS processes withinC:.0i6P,
• Has a high degree of freedom in the execution of his function to prescribe processes that achieve EHS business objectives.
• Operates in review team(s), within a well-structured environment with a clear reporting framework.
• Extensive amount of co-ordination and planning is required.

\ Problem Solving/Complexity:
Works in close review teams in Operations and Technical.
Undertakes subordinate advisory roll and assists supervisor and others as appropriate. Refers problems of a more complex or less familiar nature to the EHS Manager
• Capable of reviewing P&IDs, PFDs, logic diagrams, SAFE charts, etc, from a process safety point of view and represents loss prevention in hazards analysis teams.
• Capable of leading hazard identification team studies/reviews (HAZOP/WHAT-IF) write reports and provide follow-up tracking advice. Should be familiar with computer programs used to facilitate hazards identification sessions.
• Capable of applying all risk assessment and risk management processes.
• Capable of using common tools (PC programs) for consequence analysis including jet fire, pool fire, toxic dispersion, flammable dispersion, and explosion overpressure.
