Role Summary:
1. Inspect and test the various firefighting equipment in accordance with ctrAixiyil. established programs. 2, Witnesses the functional tests on fire protection equipment / systems conduct by other disciplines.
3. Participate in the fire prevention walkthrough foru'rgid related expansion projects.
4. Assist in the building inspection program for allruildings,
5. Assist in preparation of basic reports on the status, test results, etc. of the fire protection equipment and systems inspected, and
6. Carry out basic repairs / maintenance for the portable firefighting equipment such as fixing minor leaks, replacing hydrants washers, greasing etc.
The contracted fire technician positions will directly report to and receive supervision from the Fire Protection Officer (FPO), they will be required to carry out the following functions:

Surveys & Audits
Assists in carrying out surveys, inspections and prepares basic reports on operational practices in order to ensure high levels of compliance with fire and Rescue procedures.
3. Monitoring:
Witnesses the functional tests on fire protection equipment / systems conducted by other disciplines.
4. Fire Safety Awareness:
Interacts with operational and contractor staff through work and training activities in order to promote Fire & Recue awareness and encourage the adoption of more compliant work practices.
. Emergency Response Role:
Assists and participates in the conducting of emergency exercises in order to develop and enhance individual and team response capabilities as required.

Knowledge and Skills
Education and Experience : • Role holders will be expected to be experienced in the field of industrial Fire & rescue and capable of undertaking the full range of responsibilities following a period of familiarisation with
equipment policies & procedures and practices. They will have well- developed technical skills, the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English Good English skill profile (it is essential that candidates are has reasonable English skills to be able to speak, read, understand and write English). Preferably Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc).
• Minimum of High School Diploma,
• Basic fire fighting certificate,
• Two years experience in the fire protection system and life safety practices.
